The idea is an old one of mine that I've been attached to for years. This image is part of a series called "About Isolation." The concept is self-explanatory; it deals with the position of beings in our world. I use birds as a symbol of beings because they are so interesting to me. They are animals that live in groups and communicate with each other; they are animals that fly and, thereby, we humans associate them with freedom. But this freedom has aspects of isolation too.
